Politecnico di Torino is a founding partner of the Energy Transition Hub, alongside IIT, and has driven the territory's hydrogen and energy transition research since 2003, when it helped establish HySyLab, the first public-private hydrogen open lab in Italy, and became a founding member of Hydrogen Europe. Within the Hub, Politecnico di Torino contributes its expertise in materials science, electrochemistry, nanotechnology and energy engineering across iENTRANCE, CoSyET and SEASTAR, coordinating the Turin node of the national iENTRANCE research infrastructure together with INRIM focused on the synthesis of nanomaterials for energy and the fabrication, packaging and calibration of devices and sensors for energy production, storage and management.
